What Are Live KPI Widgets, and Where Do They Appear?
Live KPI widgets are small reports placed inside the screens your team already uses, so a figure appears where a decision gets made instead of on a separate board. It’s in-app reporting: the number comes to you.
In Adoptiv each embedded widget is one tile, defined once on Adoptiv’s side and placed in a named spot on a screen, such as billing. Every workspace that opens that screen sees the same KPI widget counted against its own records, and because there is one definition rather than copies, it never drifts. The tile keeps the chart, palette and settings it was built with, so a chart with several measures plots all of them and a table can be a pivot grid.
They are auto-refreshing metrics: each widget checks for new numbers every minute, or every five seconds when marked live, and pauses while the tab is in the background. Results are cached per workspace and reset whenever a record is written, and a refresh button on hover fetches fresh numbers at once.
This isn’t embedded analytics for your own website. These CRM widgets show only inside Adoptiv, for signed-in members, and anyone signed in can see them. To show figures to someone outside, send a public link; to hand a whole board to your team, use dashboard sharing.

What are live KPI widgets?

Who sees an embedded widget?
Anyone signed in to your workspace who opens that screen. There’s no separate permission on it.
Can I embed a widget on my website?
No. Embedded widgets appear only inside Adoptiv, for signed-in members. To show numbers to someone outside, send a public link to a board.
Can I click through from an embedded widget?
No. Embedded widgets don’t filter boards or jump to other boards. They show the figure where you work.
Is this the same as embedded dashboards on a website?
No. These widgets show only inside Adoptiv, for signed-in members. They are not an iframe or a script you can place on another site.
How often do they refresh?
Every minute by default, or every five seconds when the widget is marked live. Refreshing pauses while the tab is in the background.
Who decides which widget appears where?
Adoptiv does. Each named spot on a screen shows one widget, the same for every workspace, counted against that workspace’s records.
Is my data shared with other workspaces?
No. The widget’s definition is shared; the numbers aren’t. Each workspace sees it counted against its own records.
