Sales charts and graphs turn rows of numbers into a picture your team reads in seconds: a bar per rep, a line across the weeks, a funnel per stage. The right chart makes a pattern obvious; the wrong one hides it or misreads it.
Adoptiv has 22 chart types, grouped by the kind of answer a report tile holds. Answers by category get column, bar, pie, donut, funnel, treemap and radial bar. Answers with several measures get clustered and stacked columns and bars, a line chart, area, stacked area, combo and radar. There are also scatter and bubble plots, tables and pivot tables, gauges, KPI cards, and a sunburst, a Sankey diagram and a treemap for nested results.
You only see the chart types that fit, which settles the old pie chart vs bar chart question for you: a pie is offered when one measure is split by category, never when several measures share a chart. Because the chart is stored beside the numbers rather than inside them, switching is instant and nothing is counted again.
A stacked bar chart can also stack to 100 percent to show each part’s share. Colors come from theme sets, and conditional formatting can turn any bar under target red.

A bar chart where each bar is split into parts. In Adoptiv, bars can sit side by side, stack, or stack to 100 percent so every bar shows shares rather than totals.
What is a Sankey diagram?
A chart that shows how amounts flow from one group into the next. In Adoptiv it is one of three charts, with sunburst and treemap, for results that nest parents and children.
What happens if no chart is chosen?
The tile draws with the first chart type that fits its answer, rather than showing nothing.
