Lead Sources
Where business comes from is a list you keep, not a box people type into, so the same source cannot arrive spelled three ways. Ten come seeded and sealed; rename one of your own and every lead holding it follows without being touched.

How it works.
A source is a row, not a spelling
Each one is a catalog entry with a color and a position, and the lead points at it by identity. Facebook Ads, facebook ads and FB therefore cannot turn up as three answers on three records, because no record is storing the text.
The total is counted, not carried
Asking the catalog what came from where counts the leads against each entry at the moment you ask. Nothing is cached and nothing is stale, at the price of the count being work rather than a stored figure.
One source per file, chosen up front
An import stamps a single source across every row of the batch. Nothing in the spreadsheet can set it per row, and no entry is created part-way through the run.
Who referred them is a separate field
Referred-by is free text beside the source, so a named individual who sent you work does not turn into a new catalog entry that nobody will ever pick again.
One moment in every record.
Every record passes through the same seven. Lead Sources is the lit one, and everything either side of it is a different page in this category.

The specifics.
8 facts- Seeded
- Ten, website and organic search through to partner and other, each with a color
- Shape
- A named entry with a color and a position, referenced from the lead record
- Renaming
- One of yours changes everywhere at once. The ten seeded names will not move
- Tally
- Counted live against the catalog whenever it is read, never stored
- On import
- One is selected for the batch and written to every row in it
- Referrals
- Referred-by stays free text and deliberately outside the catalog
- Retiring one
- Blocked while any lead holds it, and the ten seeded ones cannot go at all
- Who edits it
- The workspace settings permission, or a tenant admin. The lead-sources switch only hides a menu
What else writes to this record.
A record is worked by more than one part of the system at once. These are the ones that put something on it, or read it back.

12 capabilitiesThe system of record the phone writes to directly - nothing to sync.
Each stage carries its own odds, so where a deal sits is already most of a forecast. Unlimited pipelines, seven seeded, every stage change written down.
Name the stages your floor actually argues about, color them and rate them hot, warm or cold. Six fixed categories keep last quarter comparable with this one.
The thing your business tracks that no CRM ships with. Eleven types on leads, deals, products and vendors, no migration to schedule and nobody to wait on.
Some of what you collect is not for everyone on the floor. Close a whole section once per profile instead of opening and shutting a hundred fields one by one.
Ask the same question tomorrow and the list narrows the same way, because the server settles it. Eighteen operators, fitted to the kind of field they sit on.
Tick the rows and act on them now. A mixed selection never fails whole: the records you may not touch are skipped and counted, and the rest all go through.
The same person landing on your list twice is what this stops. Checked on the email, then the phone, as the record is written, with no score to argue over.
Nobody writes this up. A field change keeps both readings, before and after, beside the notes, mail and tasks, so it still means something in six months.
Every exchange with this lead on one line: calls, voicemails, mail and text. A call lands on the right record by the number it reached, linked by nobody.
A thing owed, by a named person, by a date. At the hour you set it leaves the product to find them, rather than sitting in a list waiting to be spotted.
The rep two desks over cannot open the book you are working, and one BPO client never sees the next. Sixteen permissions, sharing rules across branches.
A number, a window, and somebody standing against it. Attainment is worked out from won deals and logged work as you open it, so nothing sits going stale.
The rest of the platform.
Five more categories, all on the same record and the same bill. Each card names three of its capabilities, so you can tell from here whether it is worth opening.
