What Is Sales Reporting Software, and How Is a Report Tile Built?
Sales reporting software turns the records your team creates into answers: how many, how much, and by whom. Instead of exporting to a spreadsheet, you open sales reports that are already counted and drawn.
In Adoptiv each report is a tile, defined once: which CRM records it reads (up to eight kinds, joined together), how it totals them (sum, average, count, lowest or highest), the dates it covers, the conditions records must pass, and how it groups them. That definition is built on Adoptiv’s side and lands in your workspace as a copy, ready to place on a dashboard.
Then comes the picture. A tile is one of seven kinds of answer: a KPI card, by category, several measures (such as a trend chart), a scatter, a table, a gauge chart or a hierarchy. Within its kind it can wear any matching chart visual, and switching never sends the question back, so the new picture appears straight away. A gauge tile carries its own target.
Your team can rename a tile, change its palette from the theme sets, and set its tooltip and icon. What it counts stays locked, which is why the CRM reports on a shared dashboard mean the same thing to everyone reading them.

What can my team change on a tile?
The chart, the color palette, the name, the tooltip and the icon. What the tile counts, its conditions and its dates are locked, so a renamed tile still means what it always did.
Who builds the report tiles?
Tiles are built on Adoptiv’s side and land in your workspace as copies, ready to place on your dashboards. Your team then decides how each one looks.
How are numbers totaled?
By sum, average, count, minimum or maximum. A count can run on its own, without picking a field.
What is a KPI card?
A tile that shows one number, such as a total or an average, in large type. When the tile compares periods, the change from the previous period is printed under the number.
Can one chart show several measures?
Yes. A several-measures tile plots its main measure plus up to eight more on the same axes, as lines, areas, columns or bars.
What is a gauge chart?
A dial that shows one number against a target. In Adoptiv a gauge tile carries its own target.
How many rows can a tile show?
50 by default, and up to 1,000.
