How to Share a Dashboard with Clients, Safely.
To share a dashboard with clients in Adoptiv, you make a public dashboard link and send it. The client opens the board in a browser with no login, sees your tiles and their figures, and nothing else in your workspace.
It’s an expiring link: seven days unless you choose otherwise, and never more than a year. Extending it keeps the same address, even after it has lapsed. You can revoke a shared link at any moment; it stops at once, and the record stays, so a dead link always says whether it expired or was revoked. Each board has one live link at a time, and making a new one retires the old.
The address is built from 32 random bytes and stored only as a one-way fingerprint, so you see it once, when it’s made, and a leaked database holds no working link. Only the board’s owner can make one; an admin who can open the board still can’t publish it.
Treat a link as publishing the numbers: anyone holding the read-only dashboard link can view the board until it ends. For client reporting to people who already have accounts, use dashboard sharing. For client-facing tiles, pick a palette from theme sets, including a print set.
