Google Meet

The join link is made by the calendar itself, on the same save that books the meeting. One connected Google account is the whole setup, and there is nothing separate to keep alive or to cancel afterward.

The mechanism

How it works.

01

The calendar mints it, not a meeting service

A creation request naming the Google conferencing type rides along with the entry, and the address comes back attached to it. There is no second call, and nothing separate that could later drift out of step.

02

Asked for once and only once

The request goes only where the booking wants Google conferencing and carries no address yet. That test is what protects a room guests already have, not the fact of editing: edit an event that wants Meet and has no link and one does get made.

03

A retry is not what stops a second room

Every creation carries a new random identifier, so Google cannot recognize a genuine retry as a replay. What actually keeps one meeting to one room is the check above it.

04

Removing the entry removes the link

Because the room belongs to the calendar entry, withdrawing the entry takes it away. Nothing has to be canceled separately and nothing is left running.

Where it sits

One moment in every message.

Every message passes through the same seven. Google Meet is the lit one, and everything either side of it is a different page in this category.

7 facts
Mechanism
A conferencing creation request carried inside the calendar write, at conference data version one
Requires
A connected Google Calendar account and nothing beyond it. The room comes out of the same consent the diary does, so there is no second permission to grant and no second integration to keep alive
When it appears
As soon as the entry reaches Google, not at the moment you press save
On edit
A request is sent only where there is no link to lose. An existing room survives a reschedule because the address is already stored, not because updates are exempt
Reading it back
The pulled entry is recognized by its Google conferencing address or its video entry point and labeled accordingly
Canceling
Handled by removing the calendar entry. There is no independent cancel
Not the same as
Zoom, which is a separate object with its own lifecycle that this product creates, amends and withdraws

More in Email & Calendar

12 capabilities

Webmail, four mailbox connections, tracking, calendar and meetings.

Webmail

The thread and the lead it belongs to are one screen apart, not one tab apart. Snooze, send later, and a reading pane that runs nothing the sender wrote.

Gmail Sync

Mail is here without anybody pressing refresh or forwarding anything, filed against the lead holding the address. Google knocks the moment something changes.

Outlook & Microsoft 365

The mailbox stays connected, and a message somebody moved is not sitting here twice. Outlook and Microsoft 365 over Graph, picking up only what changed.

Exchange Sync

A Microsoft mailbox brings its diary and address book with it, and whether it sits in Microsoft 365 or on a server in your building is worked out for you.

IMAP & SMTP

The connection for a mailbox nobody hosts for you. We sign in for real before saving the hosts and ports, so a typo is caught while you are still at the form.

Email Templates

Templates with merge variables, organized into groups and granted per team, so the answer your best rep writes becomes the answer everybody sends.

Template Permissions

Regulated copy stays with the people allowed to send it. Filing a template into a group is what shares it, so there is no second step for anybody to forget.

Open & Click Tracking

What does not count is the useful part: a rep opening their own message, a crawler, the same person twice in five minutes. A figure a supervisor can act on.

Snooze & Send Later

Park a thread and it comes back at the hour you named, unread, so nobody walks past it. Hold a send and it leaves at the hour you named, once, never twice.

Email Signatures

Nobody retypes their sign-off. It is held once per mailbox and added on the way out, so mail from the platform arrives looking like mail from a person.

Microsoft Teams

Pick Teams on a booking and the join link is written into the invitation guests receive, so nobody chases it in a follow-up. A room you own travels too.

Email-to-Record Matching

Mail files itself against the lead, on a rule short enough to print: the addresses on the lead, matched exactly. No domain guessing, and nothing to dispute.
