Business Hours & Holidays

Closed is a fact about the clock, not something every call flow decides for itself. Write the week and the holidays once, and every flow, queue, menu and campaign shuts at the same minute you do.

The mechanism

How it works.

01

A week, written once

Each day is on or off and carries its own open and close time. A window that closes earlier than it opens is read as running past midnight rather than as a closed day, so a night shift is a schedule rather than a workaround.

02

Holidays are their own list

A holiday calendar is named and holds dates: a single day, a range of days, or a date that returns every year by month and day. A range that crosses new year matches on both sides of it.

03

Change the hours in one place

Flows, menus, queues and campaigns reference a schedule instead of keeping hours of their own. The schedule's own active flag is the gate, so hours can be written and revised with enforcement still off.

04

Closed is a branch, not a dead end

Being closed is a branch, not a destination. The schedule answers open or closed and the flow that asked decides what follows: an announcement, a mailbox, another queue, or nothing at all. One schedule can end differently on every line.

Where it sits

Two moments in every call.

Every call passes through the same seven. Business Hours & Holidays is the lit ones, and everything either side of it is a different page in this category.

8 facts
Weekly rules
Seven days, each on or off, with one open and one close time in 24-hour form
Overnight
A close earlier than the open reads as a window running past midnight
Holidays
Named calendars of single dates, ranges, or dates recurring by month and day
Timezone
Evaluated in the organization timezone; a schedule carries none of its own
Reuse
One schedule read by flows, menus, queues and campaigns, edited in one place
Enforcement
Queues and flows read it at call time; the schedule's active flag is the gate
Routing
Open and closed are branches; where a closed call goes is the flow's decision
Limits
One open window per day, so a day with two windows needs a second schedule

20 capabilities

Flows, queues, oversight and compliance screening on lines we run ourselves.

Listen, Whisper & Barge

Coach a rep mid-call without the customer hearing it, then join outright if it turns. Moving between the three never drops the call or rings anyone again.

Predictive Dialer

Reps stop sitting through ring-outs. More lines open than you have people, paced off your live answer rate, and the abandonment cap you set is a ceiling.

Power & Preview Dialing

Hand the tempo to the rep on one campaign and take it back on the next. Preview waits for them to read the record; power opens lines the moment they are free.

Answering-Machine Detection

Reps stop greeting voicemail. The line is judged person or machine before a headset is involved, so what lands in one is somebody who said hello.

Ring Strategies

Stop the same two people carrying the floor. Six answers to who gets asked first, changed on the queue you already have rather than built again from scratch.

Skills-Based Routing

A caller reaches somebody who can actually help. Agents short of the skill a queue asks for never see the call, and a failover catches what nobody can take.

Queue Callbacks

A caller presses a digit, hangs up and keeps their place in line. Repeat requests merge, so nobody rings the same person twice about one problem.

VIP Priority Routing

Your best account stops waiting behind everybody else. Flag the lead and they skip the welcome and the cap, while aging keeps ordinary callers from starving.

Transfer & Three-Way

Nobody re-explains themselves to the next person. Send the call straight on, or speak privately first, or merge to three and walk out without ending it.

Call Recording

When a call is disputed, who said the line is read off its own channel rather than argued out of the wording. Both sides captured, merged into one file.

Dispositions & Wrap-Up

One code is the whole of a rep's paperwork. Twenty-six behaviors hang off it, so the task, the callback and the do-not-call mark happen on their own.

Smart Caller ID

A rep never has to choose which of your numbers to call from. Every one they may use is scored against the person being dialed, and they can still override.

Phone Numbers

Buy the number and it already knows where to send its calls. Search live carrier inventory, filter by country or by the digits it ends with, then claim it.

Toll-Free Numbers

One number reaches a whole country and the caller pays nothing for it. Toll-free routes through the same flows and bills from the same wallet as local lines.

International Numbers

Selling into a country you have no office in still means a number that looks local. Four carrier providers, so a new market is a purchase, not a project.

Extensions & Webphone

The extension is the person, not the device. One number reaches your rep, and a live call walks from browser tab to desk phone without either side noticing.

Voicemail Boxes

A call nobody was going to answer still lands somewhere. Organization, team and personal boxes each decide who may listen, and every message is transcribed.

Live Call Monitoring

Where a supervisor picks which call to join. Every conversation currently up, who is on it, the queue it came through and how long it has run, changing live.

SMS & Text Conversations

Text from the numbers you already call on. The thread sits beside the calls to that contact rather than in a second app nobody on the floor ever opens.

Media Library & Voices

Everything a caller hears that is not a person. Before you replace a prompt, the page names the menus, queues and mailboxes still playing the one you have.

Contact Center

Thirty minutes, your numbers and your data. We will set business hours & holidays up live and you can decide from the thing itself rather than from this page.
