Touchpoints

Every exchange with this lead on a single line: calls, voicemails, mail and text. A call attaches by the number it reached, so it lands on the right record even when nobody linked anything first.

The mechanism

How it works.

01

Four channels, one order

Telephony, voicemail, mail and text are merged and sorted by when they happened, and the whole line filters down to a single channel when you want to read only the calls.

02

Attached by number, not only by link

A call joins the record when the number at either end is any of the lead's four, or when it was already linked. Texts work the same way, which is what stops the first conversation with somebody vanishing because the record was created afterward.

03

A voicemail is worked out, not filed

This line keeps no voicemail row of its own. It reads how the call ended, whether a message was dropped into it and whether audio exists, and calls that a voicemail. The voicemail boxes are a separate screen and do not feed into this one.

04

Audio stays behind a door

The history says a recording exists and which call it belongs to. It never hands out a storage address, so playback is fetched against a token good for five minutes at the moment somebody presses play.

Where it sits

One moment in every record.

Every record passes through the same seven. Touchpoints is the lit one, and everything either side of it is a different page in this category.

8 facts
Channels
Call, voicemail, mail and text, in one chronology, filterable to one of them
Voicemail
Derived from how the call finished rather than stored as its own kind
Call carries
Duration, direction, final status, and the wrap-up code as it was worded that day
Matching
Primary, mobile, home and other numbers, or an existing link to the record
Number matching
Compared as written. A number stored in another format will not attach
Mail
Sender, subject and body, with the open and click counters filled in for anything sent from the composer
Text
Delivery status and the far end number, and threads are read without the source cap
Depth
A hundred and fifty from each source before the merge, twenty-five shown at a time

More in Leads & Sales CRM

12 capabilities

The system of record the phone writes to directly - nothing to sync.

Deals & Pipelines

Each stage carries its own odds, so where a deal sits is already most of a forecast. Unlimited pipelines, seven seeded, every stage change written down.

Lead Stages

Name the stages your floor actually argues about, color them and rate them hot, warm or cold. Six fixed categories keep last quarter comparable with this one.

Lead Sources

The same source can never arrive spelled three ways. Ten come seeded and sealed, yours sit beside them, and renaming one carries every lead holding it.

Custom Fields

The thing your business tracks that no CRM ships with. Eleven types on leads, deals, products and vendors, no migration to schedule and nobody to wait on.

Field Groups & Layouts

Some of what you collect is not for everyone on the floor. Close a whole section once per profile instead of opening and shutting a hundred fields one by one.

Saved Views

Hand a list to a CRM role rather than a person and the question outlives whoever first asked it. A new hire opens the board instead of rebuilding it daily.

Advanced Filtering

Ask the same question tomorrow and the list narrows the same way, because the server settles it. Eighteen operators, fitted to the kind of field they sit on.

Bulk Actions

Tick the rows and act on them now. A mixed selection never fails whole: the records you may not touch are skipped and counted, and the rest all go through.

Bulk Import

Map the columns once and walk away. A file of any size is read a piece at a time, a failed row never stops the run, and a restart carries on where it stopped.

Duplicate Detection

The same person landing on your list twice is what this stops. Checked on the email, then the phone, as the record is written, with no score to argue over.

Roles & Permissions

The rep two desks over cannot open the book you are working, and one BPO client never sees the next. Sixteen permissions, sharing rules across branches.

Goals & Leaderboards

A number, a window, and somebody standing against it. Attainment is worked out from won deals and logged work as you open it, so nothing sits going stale.
